Biography:

Dr. HazemAqel is a professor in Clinical Microbiology at King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Saudi Arabia. He completed Ph.D. in Microbiology from Birmingham University/UK. He has pioneered structural studies of isolation and characterization of thermophilic bacteria and bacteriophages, bacterial enzymatic activities, antimicrobial plant extractions, and understanding pathogenicity, latency and reactivation of viruses. His current researches are in viral infection and antibiotics resistance.

Research Interest:

His research interest are understanding pathogenicity, Latency and reactivation of viruses in their host to produce vaccine, How bacterial cells respond to the environment by altering which protein they synthesize and How bacteria detect and respond to stressful conditions and to the presence of antibiotics.
